Den-O ep 5 Raw thoughts

I probably shouldn't even be trying this without a sub, but....

I'm so-so on Urataros right now, though I suspect I'll like him better when I can understand what he's saying. But the episode had its funny moments:

* The cafe patron trying to figure out where Hana came from after Hana crawled in from the cabinet. (And of course Hana is too busy looking for Ryoutarou to notice the patron.)

* Urataros' reaction to Momotaros' speech about, I presume, being chosen to fight the Imagin. "Bye Bye!"

* Momotaros shooing Hana out of his way so that he can do his pose.

It did take me a few rewatchings to realize the Imagin of the Week was the one that caused the truck accident. Urataros was already hovering near Ryoutarou waiting for him to be distracted/unconscious (or at least I presume that's what he needed; maybe Ryoutarou's developed some kind of shielding against Imagin who aren't Momotaros).

That being said, the episode was decent, but what snarled up my enjoyment was how Urataros' possession of Ryoutarou was handled. Basically, while Ryoutarou was dazed, he wasn't unconscious. And it's been shown that when he's conscious, he can keep Imagin from taking over his body, or at least he can prevent Momotaros, so he should have been able to dominate Urataros. So why was Urataros able to keep possession of Ryoutarou's body for so long?

Urataros about to possess Ryoutarou

It's interesting that all the Imagin we've seen so far enter their victims/hosts from the back, as if they don't want to be seen by the new hosts/victims. And given the theme for this season, one could say dirty things about the relationship between Imagin and their hosts (admittedly, Ryoutarou's the only one who's not used a wish, so he's got two Imagin now somewhere in his system).

EDIT: It does look like it was Urataros after all that caused the accident, which means he pulled an awfully dirty trick to prevent Ryoutarou from blocking his possession.

Ahem. I will wait for an episode or two more to air (and be subbed) before I start writing up an essay on the relationship between Ryoutarou and his Imagin, and the effects on his body.
