Fic: Covering Up The Damage (Tomorrow's Future)

This teensy little piece will hopefully remind longtime readers of Tomorrow's Future of a certain event. It features Greer Lewis, who is figuring out how to solve a certain, minor problem.

Covering up the Damage

Greer Lewis looked at the chip in the dining room table and sighed. She'd been the one to swing her sword down on it, so she would be the one to hide the damage as best she could.

At least it had made Adam listen, which was the important part. Sure, she could have done something other than hack at the furniture, but it had done wonders for the situation.

Maybe she should leave the table like it was, a reminder of the importance of things. But others would be sure to wonder why there was a mark - a sword mark - in her dining room table.

She should get something to cover it up, or at least make it stand out less. Sure, people would always be curious - couldn't stop human nature, after all - but if she covered it up, just like she covered up the truth about herself, then people wouldn't look so hard at the damage to the table.
