Kamen Rider Den-O ep 29 raw thoughts
Yeah, I just couldn't quite resist. I'm one of those people who has to see the raw, even if I only pick up one word out of twenty.

Thankfully, I got a clue from TV-Nihon's translation of the trailer for this episode, so I had a vague clue what it was about.
Okay, somehow Airi and Ryotaro are involved with something regarding a haunted house (we see our friendly neighborhood false friends in an early scene talking about it). Ryotaro wants to win badly enough that he enlists the aid of his now-restored Imagin, promising that they can have his body for a day if he/they win. So, he, Hana, and Deneb go to the Haunted House contest. I guess Yuuto didn't want to go into a haunted house thing, so he sent Deneb while he enjoyed dinner (which Deneb no doubt prepared for him). Poor Deneb keeps trying to disguise himself, and it's so not working.
Hana goes first, punching at least one actor. She disappears after this pretty much, but we presume she came out. Ryo is next, Ura taking the first go. He cheerfully high-fives the actors playing zombies, grins at another actor playing a Japanese spirit (I liked her makeup), confusing the heck out of her, and only leaves when Momo forces him out. Momo punches everybody and everything in his way, getting to the schoolhouse, only to be stopped by what I presume is some kind of spirit dog. He's about to bolt out the window when Kin comes in, setting the dog statue to one side, punching out some more actors, and getting water dropped on him, much to his annoyance. (Ryuu was fourth, but I don't see him getting any Ryo time in there. He probably doesn't mind.)
In the meantime, there's a guy in the back of the line. He makes a contract with a bee-like creature (Wasp Imagin? That's what it looked like from the credits), which knocks out/kills another participant. I'm not sure what the contract was, I'm sure I'll find out in the sub.
So, Ryo gets out, Momo senses an Imagin, Ryo runs back in when Momo tells him. He stumbles over Deneb, who's terrified, and it doesn't help when Ryo keeps mumbling about Imagin. Ryo goes after Wasp Imagin, who's flown, and Deneb's frantic calls about the Imagin bring Yuuto. Unfortunately for Yuuto, he misses the entire thing and blows a card, unaware the Imagin isn't there anymore. (I presume Yuuto's better at sensing Imagin than Deneb is.)
Ryo stumbles about in Plat Form in the past while the Imagin try to combine while in the DenLiner. He finally manages to summon them, and they defeat Wasp Imagin. In the end, the creepy guy who was the Contract Holder is arrested, and Yuuto is pissed at Deneb because he's down to only one card.
So... it looks like Den-O is finally breaking its 2-episode mold. Next week's episode features a different Imagin, some kind of bird (complete with birdcage around its head). We're still stuck with Climax form and Sword Form, but at least the Imagin can still possess Ryotaro, just apparently not in battle. (In other words, where would we be without Sato Takeru needing to change his hairstyle four or five times in an episode?) And the episode title has something to do with fireworks (hanabi? flower+fire), in case one couldn't tell from the trailer.
Boy, I hope Ryo has some time scheduled off to keep his promise....

Actually, Ryuu was whining the whole time about not getting to go out. They were supposed to all share, but then Kin got DQ'ed, so Ryuu was all mad.
Mr. Contract was a thief who hit his victim over the back of the head with a rock and accidentally killed him. Not knowing what to do with the body, he stuffed it in the abandoned school. Since the haunted house thing opened there now, he's afraid someone's going to find the evidence, so he has the Imajin take care of it. Except the guy wasn't actually dead, just faking it to give the thief a shock. He put a fake skeleton there in case the thief came back and opened the huanted house thing. So.
Poor Yuuto... I mean, I'm glad he was willing to use a card to save Deneb, but I feel really badly he only has one left...
And, actually, the Tarouses say "pick one of us" and fight over who's going to go in the scene when they're all demoralized about combining, so I'm pretty sure they could still go out in battle.
I don't really know why he wanted to win so badly in the first place, though... Can't he have tea with his sister anytime? Saa.

The ghost was cute, though. Ura was also cute. (You can see that female zombie double take at the high-five....)
