Blergh. Kanji.

I've spent a good half hour trying to find this kanji, with the only clue being that the furigana on it is "yu". I swear, I must not be finding the right radicals. I'm so frustrated that I drew a picture of it. (Sorry for the crappy drawing. I'm not very good at it.)

Is it 揺れる? Read ヨウ or ゆ, it means swing; shake; sway; rock; tremble; vibrate.

That would be my missing kanji. Thanks. :) (I was trying to figure out 揺り椅子, which seems to be "rocking chair".)

(I'm amazed that was legible enough to make out!)

(It wasn't XP I just took the one radical I *did* know, made a big stroke range, and searched in the dictionary. I've had to find more than one crazy kanji. I hate kanji.)

Figures. :) (Hopefully my handwritten kanji is a bit more legible, but I was so not in the mood to draw it out and then hook up my scanner. I wasn't quite *that* frustrated.)

I tried the left-hand radical, but apparently I wasn't giving the right query, and so I couldn't find it.

How were you doing it? And which dictionary were you using?

I was using wwwjdic (since I seem to have kindly mislocated my kanji dictionary this evening), multiradical method. Apparently I have lost the ability to recognize kanji or count strokes, because I just tried it and found it. Grrr.

XD It happens to the best of us.
