Regrets
This is Mutsuki from Kamen Rider Blade, and my notes say It's episode 43. Mutsuki is associated with green and purple, and in this case, I chose green. It's where he's thinking about all the damage he's caused while under the influence of the Spider Undead, and therefore the text "regrets". The effect makes you focus on his face (and hopefully make you not notice Tachibana's sleeve on the right hand side) and the text.
Tachibana Opening Credits
I was intending to make a four-icon set of the Kamen Rider Blade Riders in white outfits from the opening sequence, but Tachibana was the only one that I could get a decent non-credit infested shot of. (Nowadays, pesky credits are less of a problem.) I forgot to record the effect used in this one, but the bottom kanji is "Tachibana", and it's green outlined by a semi-transparent white effect.
Flailing Towards the Future
My notes say this is a PR Icontest entry. It actually was fairly advanced for my skills at the time. There are four main parts to this one - the Turbo-era Tommy image, the Dino Thunder-era Tommy image, the black outline, and the text. I seem to recall that I got both caps from Dino Thunder episodes. The black outline is actually a black "box" behind the smaller, resized picture. Certainly not a bad job.
Don't Need A Reason
An icon in which I experimented with various effects. Yes, another PR Icontest entry. I'm not as thrilled with this one, though it's hardly the worst I've done. That's Trip and Notacon with text on the side (I think the PR Icontest was lyrics). I think the text was unreadble without the darkening of the background of that side. Had I made it today, I probably would have made it differently.
Trapped in the Shadows
My very first PR Icontest entry, and actually, probably one of my better early icons. Also one where I lost my notes. The image is from Samurai's Journey, where Cam breaks the blocks, and I thought the text was appropriate as Cam really is trapped in the shadows. The black text is backed in green for readability and Cam purposes.
Matsuyama
Yes, it's actually a non-fandom icon. Amazing. One of my first, in fact. Anyway, it's more experimenting with effects. The kanji read "Matsuyama" (as in the city in Ehime prefecture); I forgot to put in the -shi (city) kanji, which would have made it 松山市. Whoops. Still, not bad for an icon that's not a screencap.
