Personally, I stopped posting to ff.net after only four stories because I had a reviewer leave pestering reviews (stuff like "plz update soon1!") and follow me to my private journal and continue to bug me. Then she took up a lovely tactic of bugging my f-list friends, asking them to ask me to update the fic. It was just too annoying to deal with so I gave up. My fault I guess for having my LJ and my pit account connected. Hopefully nothing like this happens to you. :(
