Fanfic author meme

1. Your fav fandom?
Hm. Apparently from the amount of fic I've written lately, it's currently one of the tokusatsu fandoms. I don't know; I like my fandoms generally, but some of them are hard to write in nowadays (I haven't written in forever in Starman fandom, for example, except for that blip that was Yuletide.)
2. Your fave pairing(s)? Why?
In Power Rangers, I seem to prefer Trent/Kira and Trip/Katie, as well as Eric/Taylor. I wish the canon had done more with Trent and Kira (they were abruptly dropped as a pairing mid-season). I know not everybody thinks of Trip and Katie as more than friends, but as is pointed out in![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
mariko_azrael's ship manifesto, they are very close to each other. It's easy to see the romance in there. And Eric/Taylor I like because they are such dynamic characters, especially with each other. (I also find them oddly easy to write, for characters who are opposite in personality to me.)
In the Toku series, my soft spot is for poor Nozomi and Mutsuki from Kamen Rider Blade. I also like Tsurugi/Misaki from Kabuto. Heck, I wrote a ship manifesto for Nozomi/Mutsuki; they go through a lot of angst with the Spider's possession of Mutsuki. And Tsurugi's pursuit of Misaki charms me, especially knowing what Tsurugi is.
I also like Vachon/Tracy from Forever Knight, because they annoy each other so much.
3. Pairing(s) you hate the most? Why? I have a strong dislike for adult/underage pairings (I'm looking at you, Kirommy, though any Tommy/student pairing is pretty bad) because of the power factor.
4. First fic ever? "Scott's Secret". Written 1986-1987. Starman (tv series) fandom. I have it partly archived.
5. What genre(s) suits you the most? I seem to be very good at the angst thing.
6. Numbers of your fics when you do this meme? I had 246 fics plus any I haven't archived at Inkwell. So, 300+?
7. Your fav authors? why? That's tough. Might have to do best of the best.
Susan Garrett, one of the best Forever Knight fanfic writers. Tara O' Shea, Forever Knight and Highlander, compelling stories. Nalanzu, mindbenders in the Power Rangers fandom. Ellen Brand, Power Rangers, for her amazing multi-fandom fics. Sakon76, Kamen Rider Kuuga, and an amazing Ichijou/Godai fic. And of course my friend and cowriter Tptigger, who writes better than I do.
8. Ever thought your fics are good? They're decent, I think.
9. Ever received criticism for your fics? Did that affect you? Yeah. I love it, wish there was more.
10. Are you famous among the other authors? I seem to be somewhat well known in my current fandoms. Whether that's good or bad is a good question.
