And here's one for one of my favourite pairings, that of Mutsuki/Nozomi of Kamen Rider Blade.
Title: For All His Faults
Author: Estirose
Fandom: Kamen Rider Blade
Rating: 8+
Spoilers/info/pairing: Spoilers episode 12-42; occurs episode 42; Mutsuki/Nozomi
Summary: Nozomi's seen a lot of changes in Mutsuki lately, few of them good.
For All His Faults
by Estirose
c 2008
Nozomi had, once upon a time, believed everything was normal and everything was as it should be and that nothing major would ever go wrong. At least when it came to her life.
That was before Mutsuki had turned confident, and before he had turned strange. Before he'd tried to strangle her, and then disappeared. Everybody was looking for Mutsuki, it seemed, except maybe the guy in the red shirt who had chased her attackers off that day.
And even when she'd found him again, he was still strange. Ignoring her, like she didn't exist, wasn't important. So far from the Mutsuki she'd known and loved. But she was patient - always had been. Been complimented for her patience. And she'd been patient enough to love Mutsuki for all his faults, for all his problems, for all his lack of spine.
Even if she'd screamed when Mutsuki had turned into that green armor. He'd had his fascination with Kamen Riders - now was he one? She hoped not. Mutsuki had told her that they were good, that they fought evil. He couldn't be one, not the way he was acting, like he was possessed.
Someday, she would get the whole story. But now, she had to go to Shirai-san's house, take care of Mutsuki, nurse him well again. Maybe he would go back to the Mutsuki he'd been, the one who didn't hang around with dangerous women and who she'd loved.
Nozomi pushed her bike faster and wished she could drive.
