Table for
occhallenge, which is a challenge for Original Characters in fanfic. Probably not of much interest to most of my flist. (And a note or two about the character and storyline in question so that the people who click on everything don't get confused as to who I'm writing about.)
Aya's out of the Kamen Rider Kiva universe, though I think her storyline will take a side turn into the "Boxed In" AU (though we won't have a reason to meet that universe's Wataru or any of the main OCs, I don't think). She's twenty-one years old, a champion swimmer, good enough to be in the Olympics. Until very recently, she wasn't aware that some of her talent for swimming comes from being half-Merman. My original fics featuring her had to do with her dealing with her father Ramon and that legacy; I'm re-imaging some of that storyline because even if I'm extrapolating Ramon a lot, I still want to get his dialogue right. Though there will be some uncomfortable moments because Ramon was the equivalent of a teenager in 1986, and still is in 2008.
(And being a cross into the Boxed In universe, I'm reverting to the "Fangaire" spelling.)
This might be a story that uses prompts like "Over the Borderline". I don't know yet.
