JET applications are due soon, so I'm logging some time away from the computer to get my application done.

My actual application is halfway done. Unfortunately, the other half is the tough part.

The good news is that I think I can get this thing sent out on Saturday. I'm about to dump the Statement of Purpose (essay on why I should be sent to Japan) on Nalanzu for her suggestions, and then to see if the fine ladies of www.womenofwords.net can check out the final draft for me.

The first of my two recommendations is done; unfortunately, the supervisor who wrote it forgot to sign the envelope. The second is in the hands of one of the people who does second level phone queue and has provided 'backup' for me upon occasion.

After that, I have to explain to the nice people that just because I'm on Prozac because of GAD and depression, doesn't mean that I can't cope in Japan, and in fact, might be able to cope better than a lot of newcomers. And while I'm at it, I can tell them I have gas....

(In a way, I'm getting a third recommendation from my therapist, just because someone has to certify that I have coping skills and will not become extremely depressed a few thousand miles away from home.)

I got my transcripts today from my University. I'm just hoping they don't take it amiss that I totally forgot about the 6 units of Comp Sci I took in high school that counted as college credit. Actually, they'll probably miss that fact due to the sheer amount of narrative evaluations they have to wade through. (Yes, I was a very creative and dedicated student who could never remember to do her homework. In 1990-1994.) My transcript is 1/4 in thick. Guess how thick my envelope's going to be on Saturday.

I have a bit more paperwork, but it's minor stuff that just requires photocopying.

Gads, I'm going to be so glad when I send this thing out.

*huggles*

I'm sure they won't bust you for forgetting a course. Now, if you tried to make up credits, that would be a completely different story.

Good luck with everything. :)
