Yes, it's that time of year again. Time to post your holiday wishes and see if Santa (or whoever) will grant any of them. As soon as you get yours posted, drop me a comment and let me know where it is.
Step One
- Make a post (public, friendslocked, filtered...whatever you're comfortable with) to your LJ. The post should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fun ("I'd love a Snape/Hermione icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV.") The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.
- If you wish for real possible things, make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you.
- Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your LJ, or link to this post (it'll be public) so that the holiday joy will spread.
Step Two
- Surf around your friendslist (or friendsfriends, or just random journals) to see who has posted their list. And now here's the important part:
- If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use--or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound for free--do it.
You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf--to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not--it's your call.
There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Just...wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.
My wishes are simple, and all LJ-or-fic related.
1. I'd love icons. Yeah, I have a lot to grab from either Sentai_Icons or PR_Icontest, but I'd love one or two just for me.
Here's a list of the icons that I'd love to have:
Ichijou and Godai from Kamen Rider Kuuga.
Tendou and Kagami from Kamen Rider Kabuto.
Kagami by himself, Kamen Rider Kabuto.
Tachibana from Kamen Rider Blade
Any of the high-level Undead from Kamen Rider Blade. I particularly am fond of the King and Queen of Spades, the Jack and King of Diamonds, and the King and Queen of Clubs.
Trent from Power Rangers Dino Thunder.
Trip from Power Rangers Time Force.
Nick from Highlander: The Raven. (How's that for an obscure request?)
2. A wallpaper of any of the above would be great, too.
3. Fanfic. I love fanfic. Here's some fandoms I'd like to see a fic in:
Kamen Rider Kabuto, I'd love to see something about the (non-sexual, AFAIK) relationship between Yaguruma and Kageyama. Barring that, I'd love to see some Misaki and Tadokoro-focused fic. Kagami-focused fic wouldn't be bad either.
PR Time Force fic that focuses on Lucas, Katie, and Trip. If someone could manage Katie/Trip or Katie/Wes, that would be great.
Highlander: The Raven, Nick-focused fic.
Kamen Rider Blade: Tachibana-focused fic, or high-level-undead focused fic.
4. If I have your fandom archived at Inkwell, read a fic or two and give me some feedback. :)
