Chris felt sometimes like he was lost.

Between his parents who didn't know that they were his parents, and his big brother who looked a bit more of a little brother at the moment, getting used to being in the past was a lonely and frustrating venture.

Losing his fiancee had been painful, seeing the future he'd come from doubly so. But they were reminders that he couldn't give up, no matter how lost he felt, because only he could save the future and his brother and his family.

Even if he felt lost, he'd win.

Even though Kenzaki had sworn to stay away from Hajime and the family that had sheltered him, he couldn't resist checking up. To be safe, he did it while Hajime wasn't there; it wouldn't do him any good to be stuck in a fight.

He would defeat fate. He wouldn't be the winner of the Battle Fight and neither would Hajime.

Someday he wouldn't have to run and hide, from Hajime or Tachibana or anyone. But that day wasn't now. He still had to stay away, but not for forever. Turning away, he smiled.
