estiriseI just realized I forgot to update Final Aura Burst. *Headdesk* (Those of you who know me also know why I got involved in RL this weekend.)
Anyway, here's another round of the "Waxing Wildly" series, where I look back at the icons I've made. Full explanation in the first post, and if you want to see all of the posts so far, click on the "waxing wildly" tag.
Zanki - Wisdom
I think I tried just a tad too hard on this one. Anyway, this is from Kamen Rider Hibiki, and the character (as if you couldn't guess) is Zanki, one of the older Oni. My notes say "various effects" on the screencap, with katakana and romaji on the lower left hand side (romaji below the katakana; katakana is often used because the Oni names are not Japanese), and the kanji representation that their organization used.
Badge
Beth says that this came from a line she wrote, and it does sound more like she wrote it than I did. It's one of my earliest icons, screencap with text (which is all that I knew to do back then). And it's a fun icon, too. My notes say it's from Samurai's Journey part 3.
Anti-WebSENSE icon
Ah, WebSense. How do I loathe thee? Let me count the ways. Anyway, I hated it back when I created this icon as much as I do today. While I could have gotten screenshots off the web, this particular one I grabbed myself. (My notes say the site blocked was "Mac OS X hints", which has now changed categories into something less likely to be blocked.) Screenshot with pattern, transparent "no" symbol added.
Never Sure Who to Trust
This is the overly cute and tragic Kiba Yuji from Kamen Rider 555, after discovering that Takumi is Kamen Rider Faiz. It's a screencap with a brown tint, with purplish text that reminds me of old Mac OS fonts. *shudder* It's one of my "depressed"/"paranoid" icons, though had I done it today, I'd have chosen a different font.

I have a guilty confession to make on this one. Even though it was entered into PR_Icontest, it was a Sentai screencap from one of the teamup movies. This was before the rule about being able to ID the source as Power Rangers, so... yeah. Oops. The sad thing is that it was the only one of my icons to place in PR_Icontest. Screencap with text. (Adri, Stitch, please don't kill me, okay?)

PR_Icontest, Marah and Kapri from "I Love Lothor". Another one where I tried just a tad too hard. Anyway, screencap, text, stamping, and a colored center effect. Yeah, I wanna forget this one.
