Kiva raw 26

Semi-summary of ep, so probably, massive spoilers.
So, continuing from last week's end, Maya pretends she's Yuri, though she doesn't have a clue who Yuri is. (I'd have to check the episode where she first appears to see if Otoya mentions Yuri's name, though she does know she's been mistaken for another woman.)
Kivat and Wataru have a brief talk somewhere out in public (where Wataru has probably no clue that people don't normally have conversations with flying, semi-mechanical-looking 'bats'). Mio talks to Bishop again, probably about her Queen duties. Somewhere in that conversation, I swear I heard "atarashi Kingu" (new King), which is interesting considering that there are rumors that Wataru is the new King. (Which could have him manifesting a mark like Rook, Queen (Maya and Mio), and Bishop have done, though Rook is the only one that manifests his at all times.)
In the meantime, Shima and Nago have a conversation, probably about Nago losing IXA to Spider Fangire last episode. And Megumi looks for Mio and is stalked by Spider Fangire. Who ends up having a serious conversation with Bishop. And in the past, Rook catches up with Otoya and Maya. Maya sends the amnesiac Otoya off running and stops Rook. (Which makes sense, as he seems to have no clue that he's IXA.)
Mio tries to do her duty as queen, but can't quite bring herself to kill off Fangires that 'betray' their kind by falling for humans. (Hopefully they will explain someday why this is so important. Are human-Fangire crossbreeds like Wataru dangerous?) Bishop does it for her. She gets blasted, though at least not out of existence like the unfortunate couple she tries to save. She ends up at Wataru's place.
Maya shows Otoya the violin case. He apparently doesn't remember he plays violin, but his body does. In a parallel scene, Wataru plays violin for the unconscious Mio. Otoya remembers his promise to Yuri (from the previous ep), while Wataru and Mio talk and he gets her water. (She takes this as a chance to escape, probably so he doesn't get hurt.)
Otoya goes to find Yuri's ring in the water, while in 2008, Mio is found again by Spider Fangire. Yuri finds Otoya and Maya - well, Maya, anyway - and the two have a conversation. Then, back in 2008, Nago and Megumi show up to rescue Mio and to get IXA back. Spider transforms into IXA and has some fun. Yuri rescues Otoya and they talk to Maya's bemusement. Spider-as-IXA fights Nago and Megumi until Megumi tricks him out of henshin and recovers IXA for Nago.
Spider gets out of there and runs across Mio just as Wataru does. Spider is not happy. Spider assumes his Fangire form and Wataru refuses to transform in front of Mio. So, he gets thrown about until Mio gets pissy and starts manifesting her power, and then Spider decides running is a good thing. At some point, Wataru henshins, because Spider runs across Kiva next. Wataru is not happy either, so he shifts into Emperor form and slashes through Spider. Spider explodes, with no ball of light.
As the episode ends, Nago offers IXA back to Shima, and Mio comes across Spider (who wasn't as dead as previously thought). Mio uses the power of the queen to off him, apparently using his (one-sided) love for Megumi as an excuse.
In the next episode, Shima and Megumi get arrested, Nago defends himself against policemen, Nago talks to Jiro (!?!), Kengo talks to Wataru and Shizuka, Nago appears in 1986 (at least that looks like Otoya and Yuri he's yelling at), a painter paints Maya while Otoya plays violin in the background, and IXA gets a new form.
* I have to wonder if Mio is going to act like Osada - Osada killed, but she concentrated her attacks on people who were 'bad'.
* As someone pointed out on several boards, the tattoos of the Checkmate Four vary in location - Queen's is on the palm, while Bishop's and Rook's are on the back of the hand, and Rook's and Bishop's are on opposite hands. That means that King's will probably be on the palm of the right hand. (Again, if the rumors are right, that means that Wataru might eventually manifest this tattoo.)
* In Chess, Queen is more powerful than King. (King's not a very powerful piece in Chess, really.) This might be why Wataru needs armor where the others of the Checkmate Four don't. Which means Mio is actually more powerful than Wataru - a nice change. It makes sense, too, that the Queen appears before the King, because she'd need to protect him, not the other way around.
* Mio and Wataru seem to have been pretty sheltered when growing up, though Wataru more than Mio. Maya seems to also have been sheltered, because she doesn't understand love (or at least Fangire-human love). Could she - if she raised Wataru - raised him as she was raised, sheltered from humanity? If so, and he is one of the Checkmate Four, could she have raised him to be such? (Now I have an image of Maya raising Wataru to be *Queen*! Hey, there was a male Queen in Kamen Rider Blade, it's not impossible....)
* I'm going to miss Ryo. He was fun. If very insane.
