Sitting at the temple gate, Nozomi couldn't help but worry. After all, Mutsuki was acting odd, very odd. First he'd gotten confident... and then he'd tried to strangle her. It was like he wasn't the same person that she'd fallen in love with before. And she was in love with him, despite everything.

She wished things would be explained to her. The man - Shima-san - who had brought her to the hospital had merely asked for her to call Mutsuki. He was worried about Mutsuki too, he'd said, and he wanted to make sure they were both all right, that there was a terrible injustice being done to both of them.

But he hadn't explained what. Nobody would explain what. Not Shima-san, not Tachibana-san, not Kenzaki-san, not anybody.

So, Nozomi sat and wondered what had happened and why nobody was telling her anything. Mutsuki was obviously not explaining; he'd taken one look at the man and reluctantly gone with him. Whatever they talked about she didn't know, but it had to be something important. Maybe someone would tell her someday. Maybe someday she wouldn't worry about Mutsuki.

But today she worried about Mutsuki. Today, maybe she would be told the truth. Maybe someday she could help.

In the meantime, she was out in the cold, sitting in ignorance, praying that Mutsuki would come back to normal. Praying that she'd get her boyfriend back.

It seemed like such a vain hope....
