In 2007, I accidentally signed up for NaNoWriMo. Faced with coming up with an idea for 50,000 words, I ended up using the universe of an RP that I played in and stuffed a bunch of my previous Original Characters into it. This story is set in that storyline, and features some characters that some people might be familiar with.

I've always liked the relationship between Kagami and Tendou from Kamen Rider Kabuto. Poor Kagami always had a lot to put up with. In this case, I trod the well-worn path of Juka's first date. This particular fic was requested by

This is not a fanfic. Last year, for NaNoWriMo, I started on two novels. I finished one. This is a scene featuring two of the characters from that novel, which I hope to publish (likely through Lulu) someday. The novel is called "Late Bloomer".

My first fic of my yearly ficspam is a Kuuga/Den-O crossover.

tilmon requested a Kamen Rider crossover, and when I was thinking of what to cross over, I thought of poor Ichijou Kaoru from Kuuga meeting one of the other Riders. And what better (and most logical) choice than one of the Den-O folk?

Tomorrow/Saturday (June 12-13) is time for my yearly ficspam.

This year, I'm posting 14 fics over two days. These range from original fic to fanfic, genfic, het, and slash, on stories that focus on canon characters and stories that focus on OCs. I will try to space them out so they're not too annoying.

And when I get that done, I'm going to actually wish everybody that I've forgotten this month a very happy birthday.

I play at CFUD, and I love it. It's huge, so I don't feel like I'm about to cause it to fall over because I'm posting/not posting. And I have an incredible set of castmates.

Maybe someone will remember reading this one.

It was part of a fanfic project/universe called "The Ordinary People" (I think), which told the stories of people with mutations in the X-men universe.

The story involved a woman that rarely spoke. She was going to a store, and she spoke for some reason, and the shopkeeper told a customer that he'd been waiting to hear her speak for a long time. Apparently she had the voice of an angel.

Does anyone remember this fic?

I had just bought my LJ account and was feeling geeky. It's a very simple BASIC program that prints "hello, world" ten times.

I tested out fanfiction.net's new crossover thing with a fic I wrote in Esperanto on the spur of the moment. It's... probably kind of bed, but since nobody can read it, well....

I can safely say that the crossover section itself doesn't make a language distinction, but individual sections do. Right now, if you click on Kamen Rider Crossovers, then Starman, you (will) get my fic, even if it is in Esperanto. I suspect if anybody else ever bothered to write an English-language one, the Starman section would revert to English. (In the "all crossovers" view, the default is English but you can choose to change to Esperanto, just like the main section.)

Once I archive the silly fic, I'll zap it off of ffn. Probably in a week or so. I'll have to see.

RP LOVE MEME

Dang, that was a lot of characters.

It's actually two very closely related issues. One has to do with sales of new and old WotC D&D PDFs, while the other has to do with previously purchased PDFs. All of this is through vendors.

I'm going to make a rare public, English-language rant on this. Wizards of the Coast basically ordered companies selling WotC PDFs to stop selling them/making them available to people who bought them legitimately. Well, Paizo warned its customers in time but RPGNow/DrivethruRPG didn't, and guess who had PDFs through both sources?

(Oh, and I realize it's not WotC's fault that RPGN/DTRPG didn't send an email, but they should have given the companies more time so that they could have, so that customers could get their legit PDF copies.)

Wizards of the Coast has now practically given people a green light to pirate PDFs. Especially PDFs people bought *legitimately*. I can go to Pirate Bay and download my PDFs if I wanted to; heck, I could download 4E if I wanted to. I'll go for buying legitimately over pirating every time; were I not boycotting MPAA and RIAA, I'd be buying a lot of movies on DVD and buying songs on iTunes. (And maybe someday I can get my KRs on legit DVD too! That would be so good!)

I'm looking at doing Genderbend Big Bang, but I need a beta since they require one there. Or at least I suspect I'll need one because my genderbend is Kamen Rider Kiva and involves incest, which makes betas a bit scarce. If I don't do one of my Kiva OCs, a genderbent Ryoutarou/Den-o might be interesting.

I'll also need a beta in a while for Unofficial Police, my finishathon assignment....
